Terrificly brilliant banners are far and far in between. And UNIQLO’s current swagger of banners fall under this exclusive category.
UNIQLO’s ‘Switch’ banners are a dime a dozen. Remember when you were a kid you had these little cards that had little flaps that when peeled, would reveal a prize underneath? This is UNIQLO’s digital version of that idea. The banner turns any image on a website into a potential ‘peel-and-win’ ticket. Genius.
What’s more remarkable is that all this magic only happens when you flick on the ‘Switch’ that sits on the website. And with a big enticing button, it’s pretty hard to ignore it.
Grid Gallery dedicates itself in being Australia’s public gallery for digital art. It happens once a month and you can submit your works here.
Yet another a great short film by Patrick Boivin staring his daughter Marguerite Bulte Boivin as IRON BABY! Saving the world from evil bunnies with guns.
My favourite Patrick films are the stop motion action figures Iron vs Bruce Lee and Bumble Bee Breaking dancing. Maybe because they are action figures and they are awesome.
Very nice work by Bruton Stroube. So much time and effort spent on this piece of work. Not so much of how the photo was taken but how it was composed. I can see why these guys make good work. Individuals and elements were shot multiple times so they could merge them in photoshop perfectly.
Here’s a video demonstrating how it was all done.
A team of eight recreated the famous Mona Lisa, with 3604 cups of coffee in 3 hours. Amazing.
